Hello there. I’m Sterlin

Husband, Photographer, Guitarist, Artist, Retro Video Game Collector and Comic Book Lover

I’m here for the people that believe their story needs to be told.

Sterlin Coleman

I am a photographer born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After my grandmother gave me my first digital camera, I was hooked. I have experimented heavily with film photography and quickly fell in love. With a wide range of cameras from cheap point and shoots to my prized Mamiya RB67, I have become familiar with the nuances of film and the beautiful scenes it can capture. The most rewarding part of it all is connecting with the people on the other side of the lens. Let me make something truly unique with you and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

MY PROMISE TO YOU…

I don’t want to just take pretty pictures of you and your loved ones. I want to get to know you. What are you passionate about? What do you want to do with your life? Why is your story worth telling? All of that info goes into the sentiment behind your images.

I will take my time to learn what makes you unique. The moment you reach out to me, its my mission to craft something that will last forever.

Random things about me:

  1. When I’m not taking pictures I’m zapping people with high energy radiation and killing cancer as a radiation therapist.

  2. I taught myself guitar in middle school and have been playing ever since. I was in a band called Stop for Green Lights. I like to think we were pretty cool.

  3. I love to draw! While I don’t do it as much as I used to, it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I have always wanted to be a comic book artist or an animator.

  4. I collect retro video games. I have almost any system you can think of. Favorite games are anything Zelda, Mario or Sonic.

  5. I’m a huge anime fan. One Piece, AOT, Naruto are top 3 for me right now.

  6. I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  7. My grandfather gave me his turntable and I’ve been collecting vinyl ever since.

  8. I love learning, I know it sounds nerdy, but If I’m not learning something new I get bored. I think that’s why I have so many hobbies.

  9. If I could shoot everything on film I would. It’s just so beautiful. The colors, texture, slower process… If film prices weren’t crazy and it was more readily available, I’d be film all the way.

  10. My wife’s name is Diamond. Sterlin and Diamond…Couldn’t have planned that any better! She is even more precious than the stone she’s named after. She’s also a capable second photographer
